About
Helen studied Jewellery and Metal Design at Duncan of Jordanstone, graduating with BDes (Hons) in 2011.
She currently works from her home studio in Pitlochry.
Helen specialises in the use of hot glass and supplementary materials created in an oxygen/propane mix flame with a technique known as 'lampworking'. It dates back to Ancient Egypt, where oil lamps were the heat source. It has a rich history in Murano, Venice and has enjoyed a recent resurgence, especially in North America.
She loves making glass studs because it is so colourful and fun and absolutely loves seeing and hearing from customers wearing them!
